    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.middletownusa.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=1732">buddhalite</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6571<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> Oct&nbsp;29&nbsp;2017 at 9:26pm<br /><br />Middiemom - I was gone - but you can't delete your own account, I pm'd the owner to ask him to delete it and a certain post (since I wasn't planning on participating anymore) but he's not done it as of yet - and I can't stand to keep getting emails about posts and not read them (it's addictive) and I cannot also sit here and listen to outsiders and a bunch of blowhards talk about how it isn't changing - yet doing nothing about it.<div><br></div><div>I am currently exploring my options on how to proceed about running for council.&nbsp; People like Nelson will throw a fit and throw a bunch of garbage at me - and I'm exploring with wise council about whether or not to proceed with any plans.&nbsp; I'd just as soon run for Mayor (I love the ribbon cuttings and celebrations and stuff) and it would be an honor and privilege to serve the community - and I mean that!</div><div><br></div><div>I'm hoping that I have the intestinal fortitude to run, have the financial backing to succeed and look forward to going further in the process.&nbsp; If I run - I'll be going living room by living room through our fair city and talking for the next 2 years gently swaying my army of voters.&nbsp; I'm a conservative (don't read Republican into that, please) and I just believe that Government only has a duty to serve and protect.&nbsp; It doesn't have the right to choose winners and losers - play favorites with grants and monies - run around being the blight police (without a better plan on the backside at least - who am I kidding - ANY plan on the backside) - denying the East End the development it deserves that only serves to BOLSTER the efforts of the 'townies' - and let business and industry run rampant in our community - AS IT DESERVES!</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway - getting back off the soapbox - back to the topic at hand.&nbsp; We are here flogging a horse - my question is if the horse is yet dead?&nbsp; If Kettering still has interest in going forward with those plans - it would be great if they'd reach out to someone here - there's more we can do as the citizenry - but if they've really walked away then the whole premise is silly.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for listening - and who knows - In my heart I'm tired of the shenanigans, but at the same time I really want this forum to be a powerhouse for the community - and right now it just reeks of torn dreams, shattered careers and 'I used to be on the inside and I'm not anymore' moping that isn't constructive nor affecting any change.</div><div><br></div><div>I want change and I am willing (to run, to serve, to campaign for you, for whatever!).&nbsp; If anyone here is willing to back me up on this - make yourselves known....it's gonna take a good 2 years to wake this city up and get that voting block to do the right thing.&nbsp; We missed it this time around - let's not make that same mistake in 2019!</div><div><br></div><div>Bob</div>]]>

Yet here you are. Glad you are back. Keep fighting the nattering neigh-bombs of negativism (Vet) and outsiders(Nelson). Kettering, in my opinion, removed the request so as to not put any candidates on the record before the election. They will most definitely be requesting to have an inpatient hospital again in the future. I'd be interested to hear how Larry, and Joe Mulligan feel about this issue.&nbsp;Lots of high paying jobs coming into the community. We need the tax revenue to fix our streets and hire a couple of additional police officers. Atrium and Premier cannot say with a straight face that they care about Middletown. They have invested MILLIONS in Mason, Springboro, and other communities while they continue to take Middletown for granted. They know that Atrium is the only option for Middletonians.&nbsp; Competition is healthy and only makes the care that entities provide better. If Premier really cared about the city of Middletown they would encourage the competition and up their game to ensure the best possible options and outcomes for the residents they serve.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Just one Mom</div>]]>

As it stands now, an outpatient stay isanything less than 23 hours.
