I think the real problem here is one lamb is just following another. The HOA rules are clear and he had to have known that, but he probably looked around and seen other auto's with sticker's and decided to ignore the rules like the other's apperantly did. While it appears un-american to ban such decal's it is the rules of the HOA. If you give in to one then you must give in to all.

Hermes I think it you who are mis-interpreting the rules. Generally rules such as these are designed to prevent people from Parking commercial vehicles at the Condos, not to prevent people from having a Sticker on their car praising their child for being a good student at a particular school or a patriotic marine. If I have to have a Military sticker on my car to go to work everyday and have access to a Military base under you conclusions I am breaking the rules.

OK- HOA's are suppose to be designed to enforce property codes set up and AGREED UPON by the residents of the community. What happens, on occasion, is that you have a small group of those residents who want to play dictator and lay their crap on the majority of the people. If I were the majority of residents, I would meet and decide to throw every member of their HOA off that agreed with this letter. The so-called "president" of this little board would not be the "president" when he came back. As a matter of fact, he and the others responsible for this little letter would be invited to leave altogether. These board members are misdirected. Go after the slobs in the community that are bringing everyone's home values down. Leave this vet alone. He's already given more than most of these
's. Pacman, you are correct. I have a military sticker on my truck that gives me access, along with a military contractor picture ID, to Wright-Patt for work.

Pacman....I think the video was very clear on the matter. The reporter stated the rules of the HOA,"No advertisment of any type". Plastering your auto with decals can be misconstrued as advertisment, but what was not plainly exlpained by the HOA rules was their definition of advertisment. There is a fine line there. I totally agree the man is a veteran and should have the right to display his love & loyalty to the corp, but it will take more to get the HOA board to define their rules.
