A growing number of advertisers Geico, Walmart, Men's Wearhouse Procter & Gamble, Sargento Cheese, and Progressive Insurance are abandoning Beck's Fox News show following his "incendiary comments" labeling President Barack Obama as a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people."

A growing number of advertisers being bullied by 'Color of Change' to boycott advertising on Glen Beck:
Geico, Nexus Lexis, Walmart, Men's Wearhouse Procter & Gamble, Sargento Cheese, and Progressive Insurance On July 28th, Beck made a comment on the Fox & Friends morning show about Obamas reaction to the arrest of Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. During the discussion of Professor-Gate, Beck connected the Presidents past association with Rev. Jeremiah Wright to Obamas comment that Cambridge police officer, Sgt. James Crowley, acted stupidly. Though Beck acknowledged most of the Obama administration is in fact white, he concluded that the Presidents world experience made him a racist. 6 hours ago the left wing Huffington Post attacked republicans by posting, The GOP Chooses Fascism." On the right is this article Obama Official Linked to Racially Charged Boycott of Glenn Beck |

The activist group Color Of Change, has hired Hollywoods high profile publicist Ken Sunshine to further instigate the boycott.
The Hollywood Hit list includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Barbra Streisand, Michael Moore, John Mayer, Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake, and recently the Jackson family just to name a few. |

Why doesn't the hit list attack the stupidity of the Kate and Jon PLUS 8? That's the hypocrisy of the hit squad. Hollywood has no power, Obama won election by the production show of the novice with the teleprompter. The vast majority of Americans are against the health program, and we know how Steve Bing paid the # hundreds of thousands for the staging of Clinton going to bring the liberal gals who worked for Gore's production show after going into North Korea illegally. The dummy down doesn't work in Hollywood, just as it doesn't work in Middletown. Yawn.

On Thursday, DC Examiner editorial page editor Mark Tapscott wrote: "Funny, I don't recall that the First Amendment guarantees freedom of expression to everybody except those whose opinions the four members of ColorofChange.org find ‘repulsive and divisive.’"
Tapscott called on readers to conduct a reverse boycott against the companies bowing to left-wing pressure, who are pulling their ads from Beck's program. Those companies, Tapscott says, "are aiding and abetting a vicious, political campaign to slander him by an outfit apparently created for just such a purpose." A reverse boycott is precisely what's taking place. On Aug. 16, Beck supporter John Hill launched a Web site, DefendGlenn.com. Five days later, the site had recorded 1.9 million visits, racked up 1,033 Twitter followers, and garnered 5,800 user comments on its "Support Wall," Hill says. "Let your voice be heard! Fight back against the lies and the extremist boycott of Glenn Beck," the site declares. DefendGlenn.com provides contact information for companies that have pulled their advertising. It also lists and encourages the companies who have stuck with the Beck program. "We launched DefendGlenn basically just to counter a lot of the distortions and lies that were put out by this group Color of Change, which we saw weren't being countered at all," Hill tells Newsmax. Among the messages fans left on the DefendGlenn "Support Wall" to show their support for Beck: # "Freedom of speech applies to all speech, even those from the right," wrote Matt Elmore of Woodbridge, Va. # "You are not alone, but like Gen. Washington, out in front of the troops," wrote Michael Lyon of Estero, Fla. # "Never give up,” Leonor Godwin of Stephenville, Texas, wrote him. “They are trying to break you. You are our inspiration and our rock." Hill also tells Newsmax he has received 5,000 e-mails from people who tell him they are canceling their Geico insurance policy because the company has joined the boycott against Beck, and about 6,500 e-mails from consumers who say they never will buy a Sargento product again. "I don't want to do that," Hill tells Newsmax. "I think boycotts are stupid. But if they're going to join the boycott, boycotts work two ways. Earlier in the week, the companies were saying, 'Yeah we're dropping the ads.’ But as soon as people started getting in touch with them, they started denying they were dropping anything.'" Other Beck supporters also are getting into the act. They include an upstate New York stay-at-home mom who became alarmed when she saw the orchestrated campaign to make one of the most independent voices in American media a pariah. Already a member of the 912 organization Beck initiated to recapture the nonpartisan spirit of unity the nation experienced after the 9/11 terror attacks, she created SupportGlennBeck.com. The site includes a petition that states: “Through his radio and television show, he promotes God, family, and country — which resonates with a majority of Americans. |

UPDATED: Glenn Beck goes after Color of Change co-founder Van JonesAugust 24, 2009 | 3:41 pm
Glenn Beck used his popular Fox News show this afternoon to attack the background of Van Jones, a White House environmental advisor who co-founded an African American political advocacy group that organized an advertising boycott of his program. During his 2 p.m. PDT show, Beck did not address the boycott spearheaded by Color of Change to protest the talk show host’s remark last month that he believes President Obama is “a racist.” Instead, he spent a large share of his program suggesting that Jones, who co-founded Color of Change in 2005, is a radical. Jones now serves as a special advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. During a six-minute biographical profile, set to ominous music, Beck said Jones was twice arrested for political protests and has described himself as a "rowdy black nationalist." The talk show host cast the piece as part of a broader examination of Obama's "czars," special advisers to the president who "don't answer to anybody." "Why is it that such a committed revolutionary has made it so high into the Obama administration as one of his chief advisers?" Beck asked. Christine Glunz, a spokeswoman for the White House Council on Environmental Quality, noted that Jones has been lauded as an environmental hero and said his entire focus is on “building clean energy incentives which create 21st-century jobs.” “Glenn Beck is trying to change the subject,” said James Rucker, executive director of Color of Change, who noted that Jones has not been active with the group in almost two years. “The issue is his baseless fear mongering.” Beck has gone after Jones in the past. On July 28, he called the activist a "self-professed communist" and questioned the role he was playing in the administration. His latest assault on Jones came as Color of Change announced that it has secured commitments from 36 companies who have pledged not to advertise on Beck’s popular program, including Wal-Mart and Sprint. However, some of the companies never had a presence on "Glenn Beck." Representatives of Procter & Gamble and AT&T – listed by Color of Change as companies that had signed onto the boycott – told The Times that their companies did not run spots on Beck’s program to begin with. While the advertising boycott has generated substantial media coverage, Fox News said it has not impacted the network’s revenues or Beck’s audience. "The advertisers referenced have all moved their spots from Beck to other programs on the network so there has been no revenue lost," a spokeswoman said. Since his Fox News show launched in January, Beck has attracted a sizable audience with his strident denunciations of the Obama administration and apocalyptic warnings about the country’s direction. Late last month, during an appearance on the morning show “Fox & Friends,” he accused Obama of having “a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.” “This guy is, I believe, a racist,” he added. The flap that ensued did not appear to dampen Beck’s viewership. This month, his show has averaged 2.25 million viewers, 99% more than tuned in during the same period last year, when the network aired “America’s Election HQ” during the time period. And his ratings are up from July, when Beck's program averaged 2.05 million viewers. Fan websites such as Defend Glenn have called for viewers to fight back against the advertising boycott, and some media veterans have denounced the tactic as a suppression of free speech. The controversy has triggered a broader discussion about the risks to advertisers of running commercials amid the incendiary rhetoric of cable talk shows. Clorox announced last week that it was pulling its ads off all political talk shows. "We do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show host,” the company said in a statement. “After a comprehensive review of political talks shows across the spectrum, at this time we have made a decision not to advertise on them. Clorox has done very little advertising on political talk shows overall, and given the sometimes inflammatory nature of these shows, we feel our advertising investment is best directed elsewhere.” -- Matea Gold |

Glenn Beck Has Brass Gonads
By Doug Giles Don't you know Obama and his ilk wish to God (or whoever the heck they wish to) that Glenn Beck would fall into adultery with an Argentinean newswoman, or cut his jugular vein while shaving, or show up drunk, high and naked to his FOX show and forever be publicly vilified, marginalized and thus muzzled? Beck has formally joined Rush as an Official Pain in Barack Obamas Backside (OPIBOB). (Are you an OPIBOB yet?) Yep, not only has Obamas administration called Rush out, but the White House has now phoned Beck during his TV show in an attempt to get him to dial the heck down. Glenn said this past week that Baracks minions were actually calling his show while he was on air because he was being a meany. When I heard this I was sitting there eating pretzels and drinking a martini thinking: Are you kidding me? Is Perez Hilton running the White House? The White House is actually calling Beck during his program in an attempt to get him to cease and desist his digs? Wow . . . sounds, pretty gay to me. No offense to gay people, of course. So, whats next, Whine House? Are you gonna post an angry note on Becks Facebook wall? Are you going to place Glenns picture on the White House website and draw naughty stuff on his forehead? Unbelievable. Not only do we have to contend with and check a radical Socialist-in-Chief at every point, but we also have to a field a cheeky, paranoid, oversensitive staff that makes Nixon look like Andy Griffiths Aunt Bee. So, whats all the hubbub about? Why is Beck under their epidermis? Well, its principally because he asks questions. And if there is one thing that derails the Hope and Change Train, its questions. Oh, I almost forgot: Facts also get them purty POed. Questions and facts . . . cant have that. Yep, both of those little damnable ditties are detrimental to Obamas oligarchical grasp. For those who missed Becks week of must-see TV, he boldly parleyed into the Presidents court questions several million of us want to ask but dont have a top-ranked TV show on the most watched cable news channel to get the proper respect and response. Heres a little sample of Becks mischievous queries. On Monday he inquired: - We are in so much debt, why spend more borrowed money on cap-and-trade and healthcare programs before we stop the flow of red-ink? - The stimulus package funneled billions of dollars to ACORN. How does giving billions of dollars to ACORN stimulate the economy? - If it was so important for congress to pass the stimulus bill before they even had time to read it, why has only a fraction of the stimulus money been spent 6 months later? - Why wont members of Congress read the bills before they vote on them? - Why are citizens mocked and laughed at when they ask their congressman to read the bills before they vote on them? - How did Van Jones, a self-proclaimed communist, become a special advisor to the president? - Did President Obama know of Van Jones radical political beliefs when he named him special advisor? - The Apollo Alliance claimed credit for writing the stimulus billwhy was this group allowed to write any portion of this bill? - If politicians arent writing the bills and arent reading the bills, do they have any idea what these 1,000-page plus bills actually impose on the American people? - If the public option health care plan is so good, why wont politicians agree to have that as their plan? - If town hall meetings are intended for the politicians to learn whats on our mindwhy do they spend so much time talking instead of listening? - Is using the economic crises to rush legislation through congress what Rahm Emanuel meant when he talked about not letting a crisis go to waste? - What are the czars paid? What is the budget for their staffs/offices? On Tuesday Beck wondered aloud: - Who is surrounding the President in the White House? - Do any of the Presidents advisers have criminal records? - Are the Presidents advisers working to better the country or their own ideals? - Who are the anti-capitalists in Washington? - What roles do they have in crafting bills? - What was STORM? What happened to the founders, and where are they now? - What qualifications must one have to be a Presidential adviser? - Should a communist have the ear of the President of the United States? - What role did the Apollo Alliance play in crafting bills? - Does the President know the co-founder of the Weather Underground is a board member of the Apollo Alliance? On Wednesday Glenn wanted to know: - Why does the FCC have a diversity czar? And there's more |

You are right Hermes only in America would this happen and so many ignore all of it, like blind sheep:

I agree Wasteful and I've said it many times, the American people are sheep. But Beck & Limbaugh are not the place I want to get my information.
The answer to all of your questions above is....personal gain by wealthy & elite career politicians. Plus the obvious facts that politicians are no longer worried about the people as this was so evident in New Orleans during and after the hurricane. Another fine example is our own congressman,John Boehner. He could care less about Middeltown because all the money and prestige is in West Chester. And don't scream party lines because democrats don't give a damn either.
It is sad to say and admit but Obama is just "one of their boys". There are forces at work in this country as well as the world that the common man can not fathom nor accept. I have accepted the fact that as an American,a veteran and lover of freedom my countries politicians don't give a damn about me or anyone else unless they have the ability to make very large and substantial contributions.
