I have heard some rumblings in the city building, hard to not over hear conversations when you are listening. But I am hearing that Mr. Kohler is unhappy in his current position. Maybe even quietly looking for employment else where. The feeling I get as I wonder the halls in the city building is all is not well with our admin.

May he prayerfully reflect upon how past actions might have harmed others financially,
professionally and emotionally.
GOD bless Middletown!

Kohler can't leave soon enough for me. Would be nice to see him follow Robinette out of the city on a permanent basis. Like to see Gilleland and Landen go next. Robinette, Kohler, Landen and Gilleland.....the City Hall Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. That would clean some of the deadwood from the city building. Now, we need to see the Council Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse leave....Becker, Mulligan, Allen and Picard. To please some on here, perhaps Mr. Smith could be included.
While we're at it, they could take some of their MMF buddies with them. They have done some major damage to the city as well. |

Marty K is probably very frustrated by the lack of support and tabling of his revised signage ordinance, which was not well-done and doesn't really change anything. The ordinance needs to be re-written. I fought against it years ago because of many flaws a nd being business-unfriendly(especially to small business). Besides it has not been enforced evenly or fairly. Admin honestly does not have the mannpower and desire to enforce the current ordinance or anything new, so the overall point is moot. I would be surprised if Council brought back this ordinance at any time in the future, though Council constantlty surprises me--actually Admin does most of the surprising.
Marty and Co. are not used to losing or not getting their way.
They should expect more of the same down the road from a Council that is slowly shifting towards citizen concerns. Hopefully a good thing!
I like Mr.K and hope that he remains, however with clear direction in another direction lol.
Same for Mr.Landen and Ms.G.
Economic Retention visits?
A joke---clueless and made by MMF shills who really don't relate to the few businesses that they visit.

Question....Where's Larry? Larry Mulligan, Jr. - First Vice President, Director Banking Center and Deposit Services at First Financial Bancorp
And also our city MAYOR!
The First Financial Bank is moving it's Middletown Operations Center located in the Kittyhawk Shopping Center out of town. Along with it goes many JOBS!
This move is supposed to be complete by the end of the year as they slowly move personel.
Was Larry absent when they held Business Retention Class?

Whoa 409! First of all, it's LAWRENCE Mulligan Jr., not "Larry", mister.
Secondly, You just need not ask about Mr. Mulligan's whereabouts on any business retention classes. He has his own priorities with the "movement of personnel" within his company and if that movement of personnel involves the reduction of tax-paying jobs in Middletown,so be it. Apparently, Lawrence doesn't think that is an issue. We also don't need to be "prying" into the activities occuring in his neighborhood down on South Main St. either. He's above the fray and, as mayor, doesn't need to provide the ordinary citizens an explanation.

Give it a rest. Mulligan is not a member of the Senior Management team at FFBC and was likely not involved in the decision to move the Operations Center. Taken from the 2009 Annual Report, a list of the Senior Management team. His title may be impressive, but like they say in the banking world, "everyone's a VP of something..."
Senior Management
Claude E. Davis President and Chief Executive Officer C. Douglas Lefferson Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer J. Franklin Hall Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Samuel J. Munafo Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer Richard Barbercheck Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer Michael J. Cassani Senior Vice President and Wealth Resource Group Chief Administrative Officer Gregory A. Gehlmann Senior Vice President, General Counsel Kevin T. Langford Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Alisa E. Poe Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Al Roszczyk Senior Vice President for the Commercial Banking Regions John J. Sabath Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Jill A. Stanton Senior Vice President and Co-Chief Retail Banking Officer Anthony M. Stollings Senior Vice President, Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer Jill L. Wyman Senior Vice President and Co-Chief Retail Banking Officer |

C'mon sw....just a little levity on a Friday afternoon after a busy week at work. No need to give it a rest, is there? Obviously nothing in the post warranted being taken seriously. 409 got the jest of the post. Why uptight with what was said?
Note to those who may take this wrong....this is more levity........ Better not remind Lawrence that he is not a member in the upper echelon of the banking industry. Can't imagine that our mayor and a member of the elite, premier historical district on South Main, not being connected with only top leadership. There must be a mistake with your list sw, or it has been changed since this 2009 publication. Judging by the list, it would appear there are more Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, Executive Vice Presidents, Chiefs of all kinds (they even have co-chiefs who get the coffee for all the Chiefs), than there are bank tellers and loan officers. Might be one VP for each teller at this rate. Old Lawrence is just a 1st VP of something....wayyyyyy down the list in importance. Bet he doesn't even qualify for a key to the executive crapper.
