Not in the Journal, but the city managed to make the Channel 5 news with Karen Johnson reporting. The story reported concerned the Lefferson Rd. folks, who are not happy that Barrett Paving halted work. The road is torn up and the construction machines stopped working. Apparently Barrett wants to re-negotiate the price with the city because there is more cost to fill in "soft areas" in the roadway. The reporter said Gilleland told them this is only temporary and the date of completion in July remains the same. We shall see how this goes. Will it be successful or will it be another cluster chalked up to the city?

Must have been a slow news day. I don't see why anyone in the Cincy area would care about this "story".

Been driving it all year what a nightmare from the beginning. Council waiving fees misjudging this winter so they could keep working and now this. Easy not to worry about it when you don't own a home on that road.

Another royal screw up by the City as always when they are doing road construction. But no need to worry about money...they will take the extra needed money from the SEWER FUND just like they did the last time.
