AK Steel Declares a 5 Cent Dividend

AK Steel said Tuesday that it lost $47.2 million, or 43 cents a share, in the second quarter, compared to a profit of $145.2 million, or $1.29 a share, in the year-earlier period. Analysts polled by FactSet Research estimated, on average, a loss of 51 cents a share. Net sales fell to $794 million from $2.24 billion. For the third quarter, the West Chester, Ohio-based specialty steel maker expects to roughly break even in operating profit.
