In 1901, the community of Middletown convinced George M. Verity to move his business ARMCO from Cincinnati to Middletown.

Since then Middletown has been the home of the steel makers headquarters. That is until this year, when they moved to West Chester.
Today, George stands alone. Will he stay?

   MUMs the word for George

Statue is moving to Miami University Middletown.
I think this is a great idea. A fine way to keep George Verity in the minds of the youth. His spirit changed an indstry and helped mold the very foundation where Middletown sits.
Good move AK.
