Don't loose too much sleep over these "free phones" I know someone that just recieved one and they can barely make calls on them thy are so cheap.The person I know that has one of these can not afford any other type of phone so yes it is good for emergencies,not all people in this country are useless benefit sucking scumbags.Some are hard working people that are just down on thier luck.

Bocephus, what the hell did we all do before cell phones?  How did everyone survive?  As far as being cheap maybe we ought appropriate some more tax dollars and get them all iphones, then they can surf the net and just in case they get lost between the grocery store and home they can whip up a map. Geeeeeeezzz.  As long as the handouts continue to fly many people will never do for themselves.

 

 

I know someone who has been unemployed for twelve years now, and has never collected anything from the government, yet they manage to get by.  How???  Hard work and good planning during the 30+ years before becoming unemployed!!!

Yes my friend planned poorly and "wasted" a lot of money over his 50+ years as most of us are guilty of but if a person runs into bad health at some point in their life and may or may not be prepared for it.I guess I have a different view of my friend knowing his work record and his personal story.To some people this phone could be a life line.And oh yes Im sure these "free" phones are being exploited by scum sucking bottom feeders too

As to the Program at hand, like the hard Head type you are, you ignored the fact that I all but told you it was funded by Tracfone for the purpose of selling high priced minutes to poor people.

lrisner do you throw these temper tantrums at home also?  Can you not state your position without the name calling and insults?   For someone that claims not to 'HATE' you sure can't demonstrate that in your comments.  I would suggest if the only way that you can enter a discussion is with name calling and insults, you refrain from making any comments, but I know you won't be able to control yourself.  That is unfortunate.

Its just another government give away! I am sick of it. Saw an advertisement today for a govt sponsored home phone give away! Where will it end? Talk about waste, we live in Obamaville where everyone,,,well those he deems fit receive freebies!
