Middletown Police Briefs:

Police: Man fires shot, hits car

A Middletown man was charged with domestic violence and several weapons charges after he allegedly fired a shot on Nov. 21 in the 1100 block of Young Street.

Alex Johnson, 35, of the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue, allegedly fired a shot and hit the driver’s side door of a SUV that was parked in the area.

Police eventually found Johnson at another residence, and he had warrants for domestic violence and petty theft. He was charged with having weapons under disability, discharging a firearm in city limits, criminal damaging and using weapons while intoxicated

Nov. 23

Two men attacked a Middletown man doing his laundry at 11:23 p.m. at the Midd Town Laundry, 2225 N. Verity Parkway. The two men, described as African-Americans in their 30s, struck the man in his head and face

A 23-year-old Middletown man said a person known to him pointed a revolver at him around 10 p.m. at Central Avenue and Forest Glen Drive and demanded money. The man complied and the robber left east on Central Avenue

Two Middletown men, ages 24 and 29, were arrested at 6:08 p.m. in the 2200 block of Waneta Avenue on suspicion of vandalism, criminal trespass and possession of criminal tools. Police say they attempted to cut copper from an air conditioner at a home on Waneta Avenue
