Since some of you don't have Facebook, you might be interested in seeing what Downtown Middletown Inc. is posting on Facebook

If Downtown Middletown is good enough for the Governor of Ohio today, shouldn't it be good enough for you? Come out tonight have dinner at one of our fabulous restaurants in Downtown Middletown.

good time down tere last night--particularly at two of the less-publicized venues--the Music Club and At the Square

Music Club has been operating for ahile now, and is growing in scope and popularity. The owners/operators are two of the most enjoyable locals who have put up their own to make themselves a winner. Can't praise or thank them enough.
Last night's show feeaturing a group of long-time local favorites was very well attended, well-recieved and very enjoyable.

Followed that up with a visit to At the Square, which had a full restaurant for dining, followed by a very entertaining group of newer, much younger musicians who attracted a good-sized following of similarly aged fans. Spotted our Mayor in the crowd there, and often see him at the Music Club. So--he is walking the walk and enjoying himself while doing so.

Stained seemed to be doing well also, however none of us made it across the street.

So--it is beginning to happen regularly on that block--a very good thing, especially since spear-headed by these privately-owned businesses not dependent on taxpayer subsidy. Proof that it is the only natural way to true development and successful growth.  So--check out and support these places!

And don't miss the excellent lineups for the MU-M and MU-H artist series this year. Top national entertainment right here at a fraction of what you will pay elsewhere IF you could get a ticket for these artists. Finkleman Auditorium has been improved, and there is no better-sounding venue than Parish 2 MU-H.

Nice job SJ supporting the local places.  I do it when I can but could always do a better job of checking these places out instead of running to Dayton Mall or Union Centre areas.
