Evidently, the MCSD thinks its citizens match the intellect of a 3rd country surpassed only by the 3rd country physical infrastructure provided by the city. Or, perhaps this is manner they are used to teaching in the class-room.

Mr. Cove, do the citizens deserve improvement, payback, increased property valuation, increased enrollment, altered socio-economics per student, and streets which aren't pebbled?

Glittering generalities sell to 3rd world citizens it appears.

It has instant impact on kids and is what our students deserve!

Replacing an outdated middle school is a 'No Brainer."

Secondly, our facilities are in need of serious repair and updates.

If you recall Middletown decades ago, no one could compare to our performance in the classroom and on the
playing fields. We need to get back to basics and provide our students with
the best learning environment we can afford...that is what they had then

Very simple concept Mr. Cave. Even a school supporter can understand this.

PERFORM and you shall be rewarded.

DO NOT PERFORM and you will not. (but the school people want that "pat on the back" anyway)

This school system has not performed in the last three decades. It is habitually at the bottom on published results for proficiency. It is toward the bottom as to graduation rates. It is 6 of 23 on the accomplished indicators. It ranks toward the bottom compared to the 618 (?) school districts in the state.

It has the reputation, among surrounding communities and potential parents/residents, as a low quality, poorly rated district with no value added amenities.

Mercy Jason!

You tell me why I need to support a school system like this and why you spew jibberish like this. The fact is, there is nothing to support your enthusiasm concerning this bond levy. Did you consider the elementary school situation? All new schools built several years ago, certainly long enough to have seen improvement. Has there been any eye-opening improvement Mr. Cave? .....NOPE. Then why on earth would you vote for another new building when it has been proven that the elementary bond issue produced little results. It is a waste of money to finance the building of new schools IF there is no upward progress.

Don't believe all that you hear from the district. They just want all new, fancy, "Taj Mahal" structures. Has everything to do with improved facilities luring people to stay and new people to enroll here, in an attempt to stop declining numbers. Has nothing to do with improved results. That ship sailed long ago. It is a surface placebo with no underlying content. The new elementaries built are surface fluff producing the same old results. The theme? Change the buildings but retain the same old failed ways. The school people and their supporters are trying to be an upscale Centerville or Lakota on the surface, but let's face it, the performance is still " Middletown level" in reality. The numbers don't lie. JMO

I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.
