DEA warns of pot crazed rabbits

Reefer madness said to make bunnies fearless

By Rick Couri

SALT LAKE CITY, Ut

The message stems from a proposal allowing patients with certain conditions to be treated with edible forms of marijuana.

Matt Fairbanks is a member of the “marijuana eradication” team. He issued the message to a Senate panel in Utah, saying he had seen animals "cultivate a taste" for the sprouting plants.

Fairbanks saw "rabbits that had cultivated a taste for the marijuana.” The Washington Post reports he went on to tell the panel, "one of them refused to leave us, and we took all the marijuana around him, but his natural instincts to run were somehow gone."

In simple terms, a baked bunny, is a fearless bunny.

Bill advocate Jeremy Roberts poked fun at the accusation. “One of the things we want to do is make sure we don't have any crazed rabbits anymore in Utah," he quipped.

Despite the high rabbit warning, the Utah Senate panel approved the bill and sent it to the full Senate.

It seems after over 100 years we now know the real reason why Peter Rabbit kept breaking into Mr. McGregor's Garden.
