   'Twas the night before elections
   And all through the town
   Tempers were flaring
   Emotions all up and down!

   I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
   Had cut off the TV
   Tired of political crap.

   When all of a sudden
   There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
   Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
   They wanted my pay
   To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

   He snatched up my money
   And quick as a wink
   Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

   He then rallied his henchmen
   Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
   To tear my country apart!

   " On Fannie, on Freddie,
   On Biden and Ayers!
   On Acorn, On Pelosi"
   He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
   On this one final note-
   IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
   GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

senior member?
just send me out on the iceberg

may I retire now, with full benefits?

When I think about next week, I visualize the Doors song(That eerie organ sound) with the video from the flick APOCALYPSE NOW!

Spider- The song is called "The End" and I believe it is the last track on the Door's first album from 1966.

The End is a great song. It looks like it might be McCain's theme song. Personally, I don't like my choices this election.

My choice is the candidate that stands for low taxes, less government and more freedom. Though neither candidate meets my criterion, McCain is closer in my estimation.

YES--THAT IS THE SONG.
PERFECT FOR THE MOVIE, AND PERFECT FOR THE AFTERMATH OF THIS ELECTION.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

Come on, vet and pac--let's don't fight each other!
If you do, then you are playing right into the hands of the Repubs and Dems.
Without this imaginary exaggerated division, you can see that there is little real difference between the two parties when you bypass the rhetoric and concentrate on their actions(or lack thereof).

spiderjohn you are a man who speaks the truth and can see through the thin vail of our political system.

There are no conservatives anymore just Dem and Rep liberals with bail-out on the brain.

When will we return to sanity and reduce the size of government while increase tax revenues by reducing the marginal tax rate?

Probaby in 4 years after we get an overdose of liberalism. OD-L

No one likes war. But war is better than a loss of our freedom. Freedom isn't free, it's worth fighting for.

I hate the Doors.. and I never liked Apocalypse Now either.

"Imaginary exaggerated division"  … Die You Heretic!

Argh.. it’s almost 5:00.. I forgot my pills.

Sorry about that.

Without my meds I tend to get .. in the words of our next president:

“they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations” - Barack Obama

Better stay off here till the meds kick in becasue man I am extra bitter today!
