Why Did You Run For Council

   I have been unable to attend many meetings lately, but that is changing. I did attend last nights meeting and I was glad to see that not much had changed,at lease when it comes to the "I wish I wasn't Here" attitude I see on the face of some members. 

As I sat there listening to the Public Housing portion of the meeting I watched the faces of Mr. Picard and Mr. Becker as the Vice Mayor asked question of Mr. Adkins in regards to his recommendations being made for Section 8. The sheer look of boredom and will you please be quite so we can go home that was on the faces of these two is....well unacceptable. 

And it leads me to ask this question, why did you run for council in the first place?? I for one like that someone is asking questions. 

Have a look at the small clip I took of these two. I would love to see what Picard wrote on that piece of paper he passed to Becker and got a small smile from???

	Becker is pathetic,why was he sitting there tapping his head ? A signal to someone maybe ? I agree Randy,Becker has no business on council. I didn't like him when he was a cop. More than likely his positions are nothing more than resume padding and prestige. I don't think anyone could be more disinterested in the going on of a council meeting than him.

	Becker has been acting like this for quite a while, it is nothing new. Picard still thinks he is at his day job beign a lawyer and can't be bothered with these trival matters. Why you people ever elected either od them is beyond me.

	Maybe they are tired of the "political grandstanding" and the inability for 2-3 council members to truly understand what is being said by staff.

	OR... maybe they are tired of other council members actually getting to the bone of the meat for the taxpayers?? Best comment from the last council meeting: Scott-Jones: "Oh NOW we want to hear citizen comments?!" to Becker.

	I thought that we were desperate for people to come to the former downtown area!!! Did anyone ever explain why they are trying to move the public housing office (and every other public assistance office) OUT of the former downtown area???
