Just got this email from sherrod browns website. Seems some new funds could be headed to the city of middletown.

Not a lot, but every bit helps.
Any truth to the rumor that the $17,000 that Middletown receives from this grant will be used to install phony antique hitching posts in front of every residence in the historic districts and in front of every storefront in the non-historic non-downtown, just in case the next consultant’s study recommends that our fire department go back to using horse-drawn wagons as a fuel-saving, eco-friendly measure??? Confused

They'll just handle it like the United Way handles designated giving. It won't increase the budget for that line item. They'll just use the money restricted funds to fill that budgeted amount without increasing it, thus putting more money into the unrestricted funding.
