Clearly the CHANGE that Obama wants is one that CHANGES our capitalist nation to a more worldly socialist nation.

So if you like to see more government programs, and less money for the working man, than you should vote for Obama. As a bonus you get partial birth abortion on demand and more welfare recepients.

I may just close my small business and sign-up for some free Amerikan pie.

It’s very depressing.

Favorite quote in regards to the debate last night and the likely hood that Obama will win: “The economy will still go to hell, but first we will feel better about ourselves.”

To clarify-Obama repeated in last night's debate, the same message he has been saying all along- If you make less than $250,000 per year, or your business makes less than $250,000 per year, you won't see any additional taxes. This would encompass quite a few people. He also said that these government programs need to be audited/reviewed line by line and the wasteful, non-productive programs eliminated with programs that produced meaningful functions for society retained.Said it last night. I am a "working man". Have been for over 40 years with another ten to go. I've never felt oppressed by these social programs. I agree that the abuse is rampant in the welfare programs. Have been for years. Perhaps creating some audit positions to police the abuse while kicking the freeloaders out of the program and using the money saved to plow into the deficit may be an idea.I agree with you on the abuse of a program that was a "well-intentioned" one at one time, but has not been policed properly for violators. Lobbyist activities and BOTH party politicians pork additions to bills need to be audited/reported to the public also.Elimination of the pork on both sides of the aisle would reduce the budget spending also.

While I share the sentiments of the first two posts in this thread, I don't really find McCain much more appealing.

It has become obvious, at least to me, during the last decade that there really isn't two pinches of goat dung worth of difference between the two major parties.

There seems to be only three planks in the two major parties platforms:

1.  Ignore the merits of any and all issues.
2.  Block all action proposed by the other side.
3.  Base your vote on what you think will get you re-elected.

It is imperative that we REPLACE all federal, state, and local political office-holders with true citizen-patriots if America is to continue to exist.  There is no more urgent issue before the American public today!

AGREE!

God Save the Republic as neither of these two candidates, or anyone from Washington, has a snowballs chance in July.
