   Longtime Athletic Director Jeff Smith will return to the classroom full-time as a physical education teacher, according to Superintendent Chris Cline.

The athletic director's position in Madison is a supplemental contract. The contract will not be awarded for the 2008-09 school year. This was purely for financial reasons. 

Ohio schools are struggling to remain solvent.
