A majority of Americans see the U.S. as being on the wrong track, a new poll found, a first during the presidency of Barack Obama.

Asked in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll if things in the U.S. are generally headed in the right direction or are off on the wrong track, 52% said they were off on the wrong track. Thirty-six percent said they were headed in the right direction.

Just to be fair...the article did not say Obama was on the wrong track as your headline states.  Should have read further.

...At the same time, Republicans haven't been able to profit politically from the gloom many Americans have about the economy.

Democrats hold a clear edge over Republicans when it comes to which party Americans want to control Congress after next year's mid-term elections. Forty-six percent of respondents said Democrats, while 38% said Republicans. In September, the Democrats' edge was 43% to 40%. http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/wsjnbc-10272009.pdf - Read the new poll. ...

Where were the complainers when Bush was in the house? I don't think Obama is living up to his end of the bargain, but what president ever does? In the article posted below, Obama says he wants the health care reform bill passed by the end of the year. He wanted
it passed before the end of October. "We have been waiting since the days of Teddy Roosevelt...We can not wait
any longer. Then he says he wants to clean up the schools. He also wants, wanted? - will get around to ending the war.
He has too much on his plate, he is reaching for too much and not doing what he promised he would. Bringing the troops home is the first promise
he broke, but with politics as it is in Washington we know these things take "time." His biggest critics think he is moving way
too fast on the health care bill and not working at the issues that are most important. Economy, education, tax reform- oh yes
and he should increase the cost of living average. Health care has risen more than 2% each year, and at that rate, families will be spending close to 10,000 dollars a year in health care alone. I don't know how to fix the health care system, and that's why I don't get paid the big bucks.
But Like more than half of Americans, I am not happy with the way things are going. But on the other hand, the other
half either don't care, don't know, or are happy with the way things are going.

first post- yeah

When do you liberals stop falling back onto Bush and accept Obama for what he is?  This is no longer about Bush.  It is soley about Obama and the Dems in the House and Senate.  You liberals need to stop using Bush as anexcuse and look to the future that is currently being sold down the river with Debt and plans that can not be paid for in your childrens life time.  The only saving grace is if Obama looses the Senate come 2010.  At the rate he is going that is becoming a strong possibility.

Fix Health care how about a few Commonsense approaches:

"We do need medical liability reform, and it needs to be real reform. We need to establish tough liability reform standards, encourage speedy resolution of claims, and deter junk lawsuits that drive up the cost of care."

"Let's also talk about letting families and businesses buy insurance across state lines."

"All individuals should have access to coverage, regardless of preexisting conditions."

"Individuals, small businesses and other groups should be able to join together to get health insurance at lower prices, the same way large businesses and labor unions do."

"We can provide assistance to those who still cannot access a doctor."

"insurers should be able to offer incentives for wellness care and prevention"

Eyc., etc., etc.

Well said,Obama and his liberal spendocrat buddies are determined to "share our wealth" with every one around the globe.Just look at his 40 (lost count) Czars that are not elected to office but seem to hold great powers they all are extreme leftist nut jobs, just google a few of them and see some of the things they have said or done in the past. Then tell me you still support obama.I detested george w. and his presidency but the prior eight years are starting to look like the good old days compared to what is going on now.
