Police are looking for a 33-year-old woman who allegedly stole a 40-ounce bottle of Guinness from a Garfield Street residence. The 64-year-old complainant claims he was home at approximately 6 p.m. when a women he knows entered without permission, reached into his refrigerator and walked off with his beer. The man told officers he is unable to walk well because of a knee injury and he could not pursue the woman. He reportedly threw a beer at her, but said it did not stop her from taking off with his Guinness. The man did not want to pursue charges against the woman, but was told to contact police in case of further incidents.

I think this woman, when found, should be tazed. How dare her steal a mans beer !! LOL
This will probably get her 6 months in jail and a $5,000 dollar fine. LOL
And he actually lost 2 beers...the one she stole and the one he threw at her. LOL

Hermes- just read the police briefs in the Journal this morning. The three reports are a little sad, comical and more importantly, tell the sad tale of what Middletown has become. You can definitely get a "picture" of the types of people that are being attracted to the city in these reports, since our wonderful city council has encouraged the low income, Section 8, welfare mentality to live in town. Thanks Council!

Hey Hermes and Mike- Do you think we could convince Gilleland and city council to put these three stories on the city homepage- you know- to present a positive image and to help the city market itself for any potential business relocations or new residents that may be thinking of relocating to our wonderful welfare city? Again, thanks city council!!!

When I seen the police reports this morning I just shook my head. No wonder they stopped printing them in the paper.

Vet - Actually those types of reports could work in the city favor. If the public and business see that and think it's the worst crime we have then "they will come". Shocked

I don't know this guy, nor did I see the report. But I can tell you this, under no circumstances do you throw your beer at someone. Throw a chair a rock something, but never a beer!!

That lady should be caught and publicly whipped for stealing this mans beer.

I agree Randy ! I hope they find her before my super bowl party cause she might try to infiltrate and steal my beer ! And if she does I'm NOT throwing a good beer at her either. LOL

Hmmm...Guinness is a high dollar beer, one of the brands preferred by elitist when they can't find anyone to spring for their expensive fermented grape juice.  I haven't heard about any wine tastings around town lately, so maybe it WAS Gilleland???

The boy drinks Guinness sometimes when he can afford it. Tried a swig or two. Mercy that crap is harsh! Just a shade short of road tar. Perhaps a better use for it is not to drink it but to fill in some of these street potholes.

Guinness is awful in opinion, I'm a Bush Light type of guy, and if someone came in and stole one of them I had have a fit. Angry
