This one is set up a little different than last months, it's multiple choice and consist of 10 questions and a bonus at the end. But you must answer the first one correctly to move on to the next one. The questions get harder as you go along. Each correct answer is worth one entry in to the contest. There is a time limit on all questions ranging from one minute to 3 minutes.

This months prize is a Bailey's Valentines Day cheesecake (will post a pic of the cheesecake tomorrow) with a price of around  $30. The contest will run untill January 31st.

You can view all the rules and take the contest here http://www.middletownusa.com/contest - MiddletownUSA.com Trivia

Randy your contests are designed to favor people who have lived in Middletown for quite a while and new residents or even ones that have lived here for 3 or 4 years are at a distinct disadvantage, espically now that you have added a time limit.  I got knocked out on the second question.

A minute or so to identify an intersection in a town this size for someone that hasn't lived here forever is well.......................

Randy - I can't take it again I'm already knocked out like wasteful LOL

Thats why I ask about the one and out. But I could have sworn I got that second one right. Wink  LOL

The second question had a very recognizable business in it. There is only one of them in town, and therefore I thought it was rather an easy one.... so not sure I can agree with you wasteful.

I guess I will have to ask each business I visit in town to go up on their roof and take an aerial survey of their surrounding in town.  Of course that assumes I have visited every business in town in the short time I have lived here.  I don't know as I can't go back and look at the question.  Not going to lose any sleep over it nite.

Well I got 5 correct and basically gave up on #6, trying to find the location from Bonita Dr etc. in about 2-3 minutes.  Hell I don't even know where Bonita Dr. is and the time limit well I just said forget it.  Question #2 I guessed as I had no clue what that supposed "very recognizable business is" the "only one in town" I assume you are talking about the Blue Roof Building.  I'll take 5 correct considering I get west of Breiel Blvd. rarely.Thumbs%20Up

That would be the one PacMan, and wasteful, if you look closely at the one PacMan is referring to, you'll see the sign. It's not like it's an uncommon business, it's just the only one Middletown has and it was a dead giveaway, for me at least.

I I just had some people in the office take the quiz/contest. It’s not really that hard, just have to take your time and think.

Wasteful, if you decide to go into businesses and ask for aerial pictures, please send them to me so I can use them in other contest. J If you take the challenge and only got one or two right you are still entered to win the prize. I will post the answers at the end of the month.

Randy,
OK, I have taken this month's test. Of course I knew where Bonita Drive is. When I lived here in 1989-90, I had a condo in the 4 unit building at 4410 Bonita (Corner of Breiel & Bonita.)  Until I saw the question, I thought it was about a "business" on Bonita.  I saw the question and, of course, that intersection was merely a "clue" so I answered correctly.

Actually, I found the first six rather easy.  I did the seventh in my head, and it involves a "technicality".  The responders had to guess which of the two possible correct answers you wanted.  Unfortunately, I guessed incorrectly. Cry LOL

I'd love to take the rest of the quiz, just for fun, at some point.  Will that be possible???  I would think that natives like Spider and Vet should make it easily through the first six also.  If one (or more) make(s) the right guess on #7, It would be interesting to see how the rest we Middletown "old-timers" would do against each other, just for bragging rights. Tongue
