These 2 nurses were  whistleblowers in Texas about the questionable care a doctor ws providing to the community.  The Sherriff ( a satisfied patient of the doctor),  pressed charges against the 2 nurses for harrassment of the doctor.  The Texas State Board of Medicine also conducted an investigation of the doctor and the hospital and found the nurses' allegations to be true.  In the mean time, prosecutors proceeded with the charges.  Fortunately the 2 nurses were found not guilty by a jury.

Sounds like a wrongful termination lawsuit against the hospital to me.

There is always more to the story. Sounds like the good sheriff & doctor were in on it together, the 2 nurses found out what was going on decided to report it and boom ! got fired and charges were filed by the good sheriff. When you have the crooked law on your side you can't go wrong. Sounds like the prosecutor was in on it too. Typical small town white collar crime.
