MIDDLETOWN — The KinderCare Learning Center in Middletown confirmed it received a threatening letter today, Sept. 30 similar to those other centers across Ohio have received over the past several weeks.
The child care is located at 1250 Elliott Drive. While it is not believed the person writing the letters is targeting KinderCare, Leslie Constans, company spokeswoman, said the company is increasing security at centers that have received letters, including Middletown, where about 50 children attend. The Middletown KinderCare will have a security guard on scene during operation for added protection. Also, outdoor activities have been suspended and door codes have been updated, she said. I made a call to a local business near the Daycare facilty and learned that news vans were onsite talking to parents as they picked their childern.
