I heard that the city manager has hired him back to work in a new position in the city building.  Do we really need another position in the city building.   Don't know if it is just a rumor.Confused

Middleman:

He is coming back as the HR director. However, look for him to be used as the Asst. City Manager. You know Judy always hires someone else to make her decisions.

Did the city have a HR director, or is it a new position.  Did not know the city was in a position to create new positions financially.  HMmmmmShocked

Personally, I think Mr. Adkins did an excellent job while Judy was out. As a matter of fact, I would vote for him for the next City Manger, as he is a no nonsense person that is able to get things done.

Huseman is replacing Sara Mills who quit and is now in Kettering.

Sara Mills was the Assistant Law DIErector wasn't she? Does Huelsman have a legal backeground? If so, how will this play out with him reporting to Leslie Landen? If he has a legal background, what was he playing part time city manager until Gilleland stepped in to play permanent city manager?I would imagine he could make more money playing lawyer than hopping from place to place as an interim city official.

Could this be the replacement for ole Leslie down the road? To start some rumors, could Gilleland be wanting to replace Landen with Huelsman, her pal that got her the city manager's job as a favor perhaps? Huelsman is from Kettering isn't he? Mills is going to Kettering. Kinda playing musical chairs with Kettering in the old city building, aren't we?

I sure hope not! Probably his first order of business would be to eliminate televised meetings again.

Good point 409, lets not follow our on rules by simple asking the citizen to finish their comments, we need to move it upstairs and waste a little more time. Good God.

From what I hear he is going to be in charge of HR.  Not a director position, but managerial. I also hear that he is tasked with looking for ways to cut cost. As usual Judy hired him to do her job. Frankly I don't know what she does in the city building anymore, hiring consultants and now Huelsman to tell her what to do.

He is not an attorney. Things drastically changed when Mr. Becker was put in place as city manager, then the H doing nothing but saying yes to what a few people wanted, and finding Judy G. Judy G returning the favor. He is not a black belt six sigma guy with re-engineering structure and organization for organizational efficiency. Just a public employee being taken care of another peer, milking the system after retirement. Another $800. mo car allowance and 75,000- 100,000 saying yes. It continues.
