The front page of the Middletown Journal advertised $191.89 worth of coupons.

Several stores in Middletown carried newspapers without coupons, and so did the Sunoco on Cincinnati-Dayton Road.

WLWT also checked at the Kroger in Middletown. There was only one paper left on Monday and it too was missing its coupons.

Channel 5 news had a segment on this last night. They interviewed a store owner who supplies newspapers. He stated that people were purchasing multiple copies just for the coupon ads. He also stated that people would go through the paper, pick out the coupon ads in several papers leaving that copy with no coupons and place multiple coupon copies in one single newspaper, pay and leave. The people that followed, bought the newspaper copies where the coupons had been stolen.

As a business owner who offers the MJ, our Sunday copies had NO coupons from the time of delivery.
Customer visited 4 other locations to find their copies also without coupons.
Okay mj--where did the coupons go?
Who was responsible for insertion?
If not inserted, then coupons should still be at the distribution center
masybe added to this Sunday's mj?

Its been general knowledge at my house for 10 or 15 years that the only way to get the Sunday coupons is to have home delivery. We just figured thats a way to entice people to subscribe (no thanks)
