Towne Mall owners can't pay their landscaper how in the world are they going to come up with money to renovate the place.

Joseph Mulligan filed a mechanic's lien against Towne Mall owners for $18,657.43 on behalf of Complete Lawn Specialists Inc.

Anyone see what these landscapers have done to the Towne Mall to warrant a bill for $18 thousand bucks? I haven't noticed any earth-shattering upgrades to the landscaping around the mall. Certainly not a huge amount of grass to cut either. Mostly island grass and bushes. Perhaps payment has been withheld due to some disagreements between the parties. We don't know if it's a cash flow problem for the owners or another issue altogether, do we? Sometimes you get a lousy job when you contract with someone. Then you withhold payment until they do it correctly, right?

I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.

Amount due was from initial work to clean up property.

Why would owner allow lien?
