Middletown City Schools ranks 21st out of 824 districts and charter schools in the state of Ohio on Value Added Progress, according to recent rankings posted by Ohio Dept of Education. http://education.ohio.gov/lists_and_rankings" rel="nofollow - http://education.ohio.gov/lists_and_rankings That is better than all but 2.5% of Ohio school districts! According to ODE, "Value-added is a calculation that uses student achievement data over time to measure the gains in learning students make. It provides a way to measure the effect a school or teacher has on student academic performance over the course of a school year or another period of time." I would like to thank all of our dedicated, caring teachers and support staff, and determined students, for all of their hard work and effort in achieving this improvement in academic performance. Keep up the good work, we are on the right track!

Confused by all of the gradings, ratings and rankings--however this seems to be very good news. Also verifies what I experienced watching with the faculty involved with the conduct/discipline committee. Congratulations! |
