MJ: Horror movie to film in Middletown Staff Report MIDDLETOWN — If you’ve ever wanted to be in a horror movie, now’s your chance. LA-based Petri Entertainment is filming their upcoming low-budget horror film “The Funhouse Massacre” in Middletown from March 25 to April 10, according to Film Dayton. The company is looking to cast for several background roles. To try out, email contact information to thefunhousecasting@gmail.com. Those interested should include their name, a recent photo, contact number and email, theatrical resume, age, height, pant/shirt/dress/shoe sizes and the role they are interested in. Here’s a brief description of the movie’s plot: “On Halloween night a group of notorious and colorful serial killers escape from Statesville Asylum and descen(d) on a giant funhouse whose theme is based on their different reigns of terror. The unsuspecting carnival goers think the carnage created is part of the show, that is until they become the main attraction.A rag tag group of diner employees, a clueless Deputy and the local Sheriff are the only people left to stop them.In the vein of ‘Tucker and Dale vs. Evil’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Army of Darkness’.” ------------- Every morning is the dawn of a new error... |

Let's re-write this portion of the story for more accuracy and clarity.... Story edition... “On Halloween night a group of notorious and colorful serial killers escape from Statesville Asylum and descen(d) on a giant funhouse whose theme is based on their different reigns of terror. The unsuspecting carnival goers think the carnage created is part of the show, that is until they become the main attraction.A rag tag group of diner employees, a clueless Deputy and the local Sheriff are the only people left to stop them.In the vein of ‘Tucker and Dale vs. Evil’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Army of Darkness’.” Re-written as: On Halloween night a group of notorious and colorful city leaders and council members escape from the City Building asylum and decend on the giant funhouse otherwise known as the downtown area whose theme is based on arts, culture and fru fru. The unsuspecting Middletown residents think the carnage downtown is part of a show, that is, until they become the main attraction for funding this nonsense. A rag tag group of clueless people, including the city mayor, city manager, MMF and the local city council are the only people who are calling the shots and the people are powerless to stop them. In the vein of "The Three Stooges", "Dumb and Dumber" and "Dukes of Hazard". ------------- I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over. |
