Former Middletown Mayor David Schiavone is one of a dozen residents in Ohio’s 55th House District to seek a county GOP recommendation to fill the unexpired term of now state Sen. Bill Coley.

From the article:
"Schiavone said his 16-year career on Middletown City Council gives him the edge to succeed Coley."

Yea, right. 16 years of running the city into financial ruin is nothing to be boasting about.

His conduct on the two jobs he was terminated from should tell you about his character. His partnership and subsequent closing of Barbeque Junction should tell you about his business acumen. His "leadership" as mayor and his decisions behind that council desk should tell you about his abilities to lead and to participate in the decisions concerning this town or at the higher level in Columbus.

No, Schiavone is full of himself and is unwilling to admit what has really transpired in the past. He is lying to himself if he still has the nerve to mention his past accomplishments in a positive light.

No, Dave, you really need to stop fooling yourself, stay in real estate, live a quiet, uneventful life and not bother the constituents with your desires to seek another political position. You (and others), have done enough damage here in this town. Don't take it to Columbus.

Just read the article. Says he withdrew his name.
