Article- Journal today- Roger Reynolds says your home is not worth as much but your property taxes may go up- WHAT????? How can the taxable income on a home go up if the home is worth less? Taxable income goes up on items that are gaining more value, don't they? This makes no sense at all. The article states that home values are generally higher than in 2005. Not here in Middletown they're not! I believe that homes were selling at a higher price in 2005 than in today's market. Good luck in explaining this Mr. Auditor and get ready for the avalanche of complaints. This is government deception to obtain tax revenue. Will these clowns ever go away?

Despite being endorsed by the omni-powerful Butler County Republican party, Kay Rogers trounced him in an election. Party leaders had to appoint him to this position which he wants to retain.
Instead of couny inspectors doing their job inspecting, Reynolds' top priority was replacing the stickers on gas pumps, so that his name was out there instead of Kay Rogers(so he could have name recognition b4 the next election).
Please don't vote for this guy!

Looks like this is nothing new. A Google search shows this has been going on for years all over the country. Some crazy talk about a community being entitled to raise the same amout of tax dollars to operate on. Since 80% of the country thinks they are entitled to support from someone, aka government entitlements, I am not surprised that any local Gov. would think the same way. Both wrong if you ask me. But no surprise.
