Rev Prier Son Arrested on Sex Battery

El-mon Jamil Prier, 39, an employee of Middletown Schools was charged on Friday with two counts of sexual battery, according to Middletown city jail records. No bond has been set for Prier, who remained in the city jail Monday. 

Prier is the son of the Rev. Elmon W. Prier, an associate minister at United Baptist Missionary Church in Middletown and former Middletown school teacher.

No one has any comments, not the school board, not the Rev, no one.

	Delicate topic right now. Rev. Prier is a respected person in the community and has been active in the school district. Probably will let this play out and quietly let this die on the vine. In time, if not reminded, the public will forget this event. Probably what the family (and school district) wants to do in this situation. Black eye for the school district that needs more positive image building stories. This doesn't help them.

	The Prier family has always been outstanding, and a pillar in this community. The parents have been extremely involved and giving to everyone for decades. I know Jamil, and find this hard to believe. My condolences to everyone touched by this, including the alleged victim. Hoping for the best possible honest resolution.

	Well, the new story in the Journal kinda sheds a light on the guilt..... Police: School employee admitted to sexual contact with student A Middletown schools employee who allegedly admitted to police he had sexual contact with a former student after he was confronted about another case has been placed on administrative leave Such a shame to see what appears to be a decent family, have to go through this.

	Sad indeed. God Bless the Prier family during this time of great stress and anxiety. Let's pray the son seeks help and guidance to set his life straight.
