The Small Business Development Center office is working with the City to bring additional services to Middletown to support small business. Through the relationship with SBDC, it has been proposed that PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Centers) begin offering regular counseling services at the SBDC office located at the City Building. The mission of PTAC centers is to provide technical assistance to businesses interested in doing business with the federal, state or local government. PTACs are funded by a grant from the Defense Logistics Agency, and the Ohio Department of Development.
PTAC Services Include:
• One-on-one counseling
• Code Identification
• Government Registrations
• Identifying Set-asides
• Government marketing strategies
• Identifying government prime and subcontracting opportunities
• Bidmatching
• Compliance guidance
• Additional, specific support depending on circumstances
• Regular events to bring service providers face to face with government agencies seeking resources.
