AK Steel Announces 2009 Scholarship Recipients

AK Steel has announced its 2009 Company Sons and Daughters Scholarship recipients.  The scholarship is awarded, each year to the sons and daughters of AK Steel employees, recognizing students' academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.  Scholarships are funded by the AK Steel Foundation.  They are worth up to $20,000 each and recipients are chosen through the Middletown, Ohio Community Foundation. 

"Earning an AK Steel scholarship speaks volumes about the students and families associated with our company.  We congratulate all of our recipients for their achievements and applaud them for demonstrating the values that help make AK Steel a successful company," AK Steel president and CEO,  James L. Wainscott, said in a press release. 

The 2009 scholarship recipients are Ryan Alder, son of Jeff and Cyndi Alder, John Beringer, son of Walter and Sara Beringer, Christopher Berry, son of Christopher and Alicia Berry, Matthew Bocchi, son of Kenneth and Cynthia Bocchi, Breianna Colley, daughter of Randall and Mignon Colley, Ian Collins, son of Stephen and Marlene Collins, Adrienne Fuhrman, daughter of Gary and Marian Fuhrman, Kahla Johnson, daughter of James and Sonya Johnson, Blaine Kincaid, son of H.B. and Darcy Kincaid, Jennifer Konstantinidis, daughter of Steven Konstantinidis and Susan Zolovick, Paul Leduc, son of David and Diane Leduc, John McGuire, son of William and Beth McGuire, Kyle Moore, son of Adam and Tracie Moore, Caitlin Music, daughter of Ronald and Jill Music, Alexander Peltier, son of Stan and Cynthia Peltier, Dakota Schmitt, son of Kenneth and Theresa Schmitt, Shayna Sidwell, daughter of Charles and Kathleene Sidwell, Ali Thompson, daughter of Daniel and Dawn Thompson, Andrew Wilson, son of Bruce and Lori Wilson, and Seiko Yoshitake, daughter of Eizo and Yoshiko Yoshitake.
