By all accounts, the Chamber of Commerce 2012 Business Expo was a big success. The expo was held from 12 Noon to 7 PM and was held at Johnson Hall at the Miami University Middletown campus.
"Based on the feedback we heard, nearly all of which was unsolicited, the EXPO was a tremendous success. The people in the vendor booths were very, very professional, helpful, and accommodating and the food samples and entertainment by the various schools' students around the area were outstanding. "I will definitely come back next year!" was a common expression. From our Opening Ceremony at noon until mid afternoon, we could have used more room to accommodate the huge crowd. State Representatives Conditt and Derickson attended and toured the entire collection of exhibits.
Trenton Mayor Woodrey and Middletown Mayor Mulligan both shared words of welcome to the exhibitors and the visiting public.
All the Middletown, Monroe, Trenton, and Madison schools brought their musical entertainers and athletes that kept the people really "rockin" and helped sell raffle tickets while assisting exhibitors set up their booths.
Over 68 raffle prizes were given out to the lucky winners to commemorate the Chamber's 68 years of service to the region. Most importantly, more (than last year) booth exhibitors shared with more prospective buyers their new and expanded product lines all of which were, obviously, in one single venue for the convenience of all.
The Chamber of Commerce is already planning what we will be doing in 2013 to make this unique event even more exciting and fun." - Bill Triick
