The First Baptist Church of Middletown (4500 Riverview Ave.) will be hosting a benefit concert for Stephanie Minge on Tuesday, August 28 at 7:30 pm. Stephanie has been battling cancer for 7 years and all money raised will be used to help with medical expenses.
The concert will feature rising star, Ali Sperry, who is currently debuting her new album, Storybook. Hailing from Nashville, TN, Ali’s music brings delightful expression to her Indie genre collection of original love songs and ballads. Building on her degree in musical theatre, Ali’s music has been influenced by artists Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin and Linda Ronstadt. And of local interest, former Middletonian Jamie Dick, who has pursued a career in music, is the percussionist with the band. Jamie has traveled the world with his music and is excited to be part of this new project.
A suggested donation of $10 will be received at the door. Refreshments will be available at the concert providing opportunity to meet personally with Stephanie and with Ali and the band.
