MIDDLETOWN PRIDE IN ACTION UPDATE MEETING SET

An update meeting on the Middletown Pride in Action effort will be held at Miami University Middletown’s Community Center on the campus, 5:30-7:00 pm. Anyone interested in the ongoing effort to make Middletown a better place to list is invited to attend.

Currently, there are 176 projects on the total list with 85 listed as completed or ongoing. Completed projects are added to the Middletown Brag List – a collection of the many good things happening in town.

Following the original public meeting on February 4 at which over 70 people shared ideas and offered help, the organizing committee gathered the ideas and the names of volunteers then set out to match as many volunteers as possible with appropriate projects.  Many of those connections are now listed on the Brag List

The Thursday, May 21 meeting will celebrate the successes, give updates on several projects and seek to connect more volunteers with projects.

The Pride in Action committee has divided projects into 12 divisions, each division led by a member of the committee who will stay in touch with project chairs. Committee members are Ann Mort, Sam Ashworth, Maria Langendorf, Chris Papakirk, Marie Edwards and Jeff Michel.

To have your project on the list or to adopt a project or joint a team, send an email to RMort@cinci.rr.com, call 513-649-4506 or tell one of the committee members.
