The State Board of Education Recognizes MHS as a High-Performing School
“It’s a pleasure for the State Board of Education to recognize the hard work of the teachers and students who are making significant progress,” said Sue Westendorf, president of the State Board of Education. “These excellent schools and districts show that our educational system is moving in the right direction.”
Middletown High School will receive a congratulatory letter and a certificate from the State Board of Education later this month.
A few reasons MHS is receiving the recognition include:
26.4% more students passed the Reading Ohio Graduation Test and the standard was met
88.8% of our students passed the Reading OGT
22% more students passed the Math OGT
"We are very proud of our high school staff and students," said MHS Principal Dennis Newell. "We will continue working hard until all of our students are passing tests."
