It has been said that money is the mother's milk of politics. However, the ignition system
must surely be partisanship. The inability of the partisan mentality to objectively compare
congruent items is what places folks like Tom DeLay and Harry Reid in office.
There is now a large contingent of latter-day constitutionalists decrying the actions of the
president in conducting wiretap surveillance without benefit of court order. I see a great
parallel between that and unwarranted camera surveillance by the city, with this exception:
Article 6 gives the accused the right to confront the witnesses against him.
The camera cannot be cross-examined. The next witness in line is the officer who viewed an
image of someone running a red light. He is a hearsay witness insofar that he didn't see the
actual act.
