A community that doesn't invest in its youth is doomed! This will not help bring new employers to Middletown, increase the tax base or keep our young people here. Extracurricular activities lead to life experiences and for many jobs in the sports and arts fields. We call this a well rounded education. One question for those who say they don't have children in school now, who was paying the bill when you all were in school? You maintain pride in the sports heros of yesterday and even want to change the names of streets to honor them, who will we be honoring when we have no heros? | 8/21/2007 8:30:00 AM | MJ | And Miraculously we now have Extrcurriculars at 1/3 the original cost.......gee how did that happen. I guess the BOE and Price blinked. |
