40,000 Ohioans receive 7wk unemployment extension |

Ohio Department of Job and Family Services begins disbursement of extended Unemployment Compensation Benefits today. First day cost of the 7 week extension that extends the 13 week extension already given in July is $19,579,534.81. Regular length unemployment recipients today received $23,865,671.06. This is an all-time Ohio record for unemployment payments in 1 day.
