One thing that struck me as odd was turning the old hospital land into an Upscale Senior Citizens living Center.  Folks we need to build housing to attract a younger Upper income TAX PAYING CITIZEN.  If everything is Section 8 and for Seniors who is going to support the city.  Now I am getting up their in age and I realize that the baby boomers are coming, but we must think of the future of the City 20-30 years from now.

Section 8

Demolition of Blighted Structures

Public Housing

Property Maintenance and High Enforcement

Economic Development (facilitate Sun Coke obstacles; retention

efforts continue; team visits continue with increased visits and report

back)

Street Maintenance (pot hole repair and look at alley restoration/

resurfacing

Socio Economic Balance

Look at old hospital site (possible upscale senior living center)

Towne Mall Redevelopment

Downtown Redevelopment

Regionalization/Partnering some services

Fiscal Prudence/Freeze Step Increases

Continuous Branding and Promotion of East End

Neighborhood Stabilization Plan

Balance of Community Incentives to Attract New Residents

Commercial Development throughout the City

Good job, Pacman!
Isn't it ironic that the "Freeze Step Increases" for the lower level City employees made #1 on the "Top Five" list in the meetings you linked, but friends of MMF brought up a PAY RAISE for City Council Members as one of the very first items for consideration by the Charter Review Committtee!!!  It sure seems to be handy to be in cahoots!!

I wonder which "F of MMF" (Friend of Moving Middletown Forward) owns Section 8 Housing and insisted that they go with the HIGHEST bidder???
