Friday marked the first day of Middletown Municipal Court's first-ever voluntary compliance week, during which those with outstanding warrants for failure to appear or failure to pay may clear their record without fear of jailtime. Since the start, over two dozen people have taken advantage of this rare offer to absolve themselves. More than 2,500 people have outstanding warrants in Middletown, Ohio. Voluntary compliance week continues through this Friday.
The offer to voluntarily comply lasts only until this Friday. To take advantage of the offer: For failure to appear, check in with the bailiff by 9 A.M. at the court on the first floor of the city building. For failure to pay, bring at least a partial payment to court between 8 A.M. and noon and 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.
